Sponsored by the National Council for Jewish Women's "Just 4 Kids" group, the event at the Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish Community Center brought in 300 new and gently used books for use in the Ferndale Public Schools' Literacy Program. BILL HANSEN Photographer In addition to donating funds and books to the program, NCJW volun- teers provide weekly one- on-one reading sessions to children in grades K-3 who are at risk academi- cally.
