Nicholas Van Orton (Michael
Douglas) is a shrewdly successful busi-
nessman who is accustomed to being

There's a transcendent moment
about two-thirds of the way through
The Full Monty: While in line — or,
this being Sheffield, England, while
queued up — for the dole, an assort-
ment of down-and-out, increasingly
despairing steelworkers become aware
of the disco tune being piped softly
into the drab government space. As

slightly, to the heretofore resistible
rhythm.

they have become caught up in the
fanciful scheme of Gaz (Robert
Carlyle), one of their own, who needs
