First Aid Class Is Offered JFS Aids Survivors The Adat Shalom Synagogue Men's Club will offer an emer- gency first aid class 10 a.m. Sun- day, Sept. 14, at the synagogue. This practical, hands-on pro- gram will cover emergency first aid measures in the home and community. Information will be provided by members of the Com- munity Emergency Medical Ser- vice. In an effort to assist Hungarian Holocaust survivors receive com- pensation from the Hungarian government, Jewish Family Ser- vice has arranged for an experi- enced professional to review the guidelines and eligibility criteria, translate and assist individuals with completing the lengthy ap- plication form. The program is planned for ear- ly September and will be held for two days. Assistance will be pro- vided in English and Hungarian. There is a fee for this program. Gym Class For Toddlers The Adat Shalom Synagogue Nursery School will begin a Mommy (or Daddy) and Me Gym program for budding sports stars 12 to 18 months old. The toddler gym class will be held from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Mondays, beginning Sept. 15 and ending Jan. 19. Trained spe- cialists from "The Little Gym" will direct the classes. Sessions will include aerobics, rhythm exploration, tumbling, songs, games, parachute activi- ties and ball play. Class size will be limited to 15 youngsters.
