JCC Preschool
Class Set

The Child Development Center
at the Jimmy Prentis Morris
Jewish Community Center, A.
Alfred Taubman JCC Campus,
has added a new transition class
to its exiting preschool program
this fall.
This class is designed for chil-
dren from 2 1/2 to 3 112 years old
who may or may not be potty-
trained. A 1-to-6 staff to child ra-

tio with a certified teacher as-
sures that each child will get
plenty of nurturing an individu-
alized attention. Highlights of the
preschool program include: Ju-
daic readiness curriculum, swim-
ming, kosher lunches/snacks.
Parents have the option of half-
day (a.m. only), half-day with
lunch or full day (7 a.m.-6 p.m.)
programming.
A preschool class for children
from 3 1/2 to 5-years-old will con-

Hebrew Classes
Enrich Youth

Congregation B'nai Moshe will
launch "Keshet Ha'Ivrit" (the He-
brew Rainbow), a new Hebrew
enrichment series for children in
grades K through 2. The program
will meet 4-6 p.m. Monday af-
ternoons, beginning Monday,
Sept. 15, and will be taught by
Ahuva Newman. It is open to the
community without regard to
synagogue affiliation.
Tuition for the 10-session se-
mester is $100 per child ($75 per
child for members of B'nai
Moshe). For information or to reg-

Teen Mission
Meeting Set

The Maple-Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center will host an in-
formation meeting for parents
and teens who may be interest-
ed in joining the Teen Mission
to Israel during the summer of
1998. This trip is sponsored by
the Jewish Federation of Met-
ropolitan Detroit, the Michi-
gan/Israel Connection, Agency
for Jewish Education, the Jew-
ish Community Center, Fresh
Air Society, The Jewish News
and metro Detroit congrega-
tions.
The meeting will be held 7:30
p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the
Maple-Drake building. Susan
Levine, Teen Mission coordina-
tor, will discuss the itinerary,
staffing, associated course cur-
riculum, registration process and
respond to questions.

Women's Club
Hosts Speaker

The West Bloomfield Women's
Club kick-off luncheon will be
11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at
E.G. Nicks, 6066 W. Maple
Road, West Bloomfield. The cost

The speaker will be Dr. J.
Perkins who will talk on "Holis-
tic Health Solutions."
