Of Prayers
Mat Shalom Synagogue has pre-
pared a new pamphlet which in-
cludes prayers for an unveiling
ceremony, the memorial prayer
and the mourner's Kaddish. The
booklet also contains some
thoughts upon visiting a ceme-
tery and a section on cemetery
customs.

Forum Series
The Birmingham Temple will
host a new season of forums, 8:30
p.m. Mondays. The theme for
September will be "The Chang-
ing World."
Rabbi Wine will speak on "Eu-
rope: Blair, Jospin and Kohl"
Sept. 8. On Sept. 15, he will ad-
dress "Asia: Nationalism, Capi-
talism and Fundamentalism."
The speaker Sept. 22 will be
Ron Kagan, director of the De-
troit Zoo, who will discuss "Ani-
mal Rights: What Does It All
Mean?' Admission is $6 for mem-
bers and $8 for non-members.
Rabbi Wine will speak Sept.
29 on "Africa: Family, Religion
and War."
