of Livonia, died Aug. 28. Mr.
Applebaum was a retired press-
man for the Detroit Free Press.
He belonged to the Pressmans
Union Local 13, the Craftsman
Lodge 530 F & AM and was a
Shriner. He also was a World
War II Marine Corps sergeant
in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. Applebaum is survived
by his wife of 45 years, Betty
Applebaum; sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Dr. Aaron and Cin-
dia Applebaum of Boca Raton,
Fla., Brian Applebaum of Nor-
ton, Mass., Daniel and Marie
Applebaum of Gladwin, Eric
and Heidi Applebaum of Pom-
pano Beach, Fla.; daughter and
son-in-law, Cynthia and Tim
Hromi of Eden Prairie, Minn.;
grandchildren, Erika, Nicole,
