It was like old times for Dan Levitsky, Jack Ginsberg and former camp director Marty Levitsky. Camp Tamarack invites back all campers for its 95th birthday celebration. JULIE EDGAR SENIOR WRITER Leah Berger, Lisa Zaks and Lori Goldenberg hawk Tamarack goods. BILL HANSEN PHOTOGRAPHER ake Ginsberg sport- ed a T-shirt that list- ed his years at Camp Tamarack — 1937 to 1947 — and all the staffjobs he held dur- ing those years. Two women camp- ers from 1927 showed up, as did 500 others from all over the country, to cel- II ebrate Tamarack's 95th birth- day. The weekend-long event at the camp in Ortonville Aug. 16-17 featured singing from different eras in Tamarack's history, camp activities like waterskiing and arts and crafts, a bonfire, a Hav- dallah service, a ceremony hon- oring past camp directors, and a lot of reminiscing. ❑ Setting up the beverage table were Irine Doronchenko, Nasdya Egorova, Joanna B. and Svetalana Krasnova. Lunch in the pavilion lacked the chaos of a typical Tamarack meal. Alyssa Tobias catches up with Amy Kay.
