Rachel Lynn Tessler and Rabbi
Asher Zev Lopatin were recently
married at the Dearborn Hyatt
Regency. Rabbi Chaim Soloveichik
officiated with participation from
Rabbi Michael Siegel, Anshe Emet
Synagogue, and Cantor Ben-Zion
Lanxner, Congregation Beth
Abraham Hillel Moses.
Rachel is the daughter of Char-
lotte and Dr. Warren Tessler of
West Bloomfield. Asher is the son
of the late Carolyn Lopatin, the
late George Lopatin and Helene
Lopatin.
Dr. Ruth Tessler, sister of the
bride, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mary Ida
Stone, future sister-in-law of the
bride, and Emily Freedenberg,
cousin of the bride. Nieces of the
groom, Caroline Mendelsohn and
Annie Lopatin, were the flower
girls. Devorah Leah Seidel was the
junior bridesmaid.

Rabbi Brian Zimmerman and
Mark Baker, friends of the groom,
were the best men. Groomsmen
were Allan Arnet, Bill Feld and
Robert Radtke. Junior usher was
Jonathan Lopatin, nephew of the
groom. Also walking down the
aisle were the bride's brother
David Tessler and brother-in-law
Stuart Zisholtz and the groom's
siblings, Miriam and Alan
Lopatin, Beth and Craig Lopatin,
and Lea and Jeff Mendelsohn and
family.
Rachel was honored to have her
grandparents Birdie and Philip
Dworin participate in their wed-
ding ceremony. Asher was escort-
ed down the aisle by his brothers
Craig Lopatin and Alan Lopatin.
The couple reside in Chicago
where Asher is the rabbi of Anshe
Sholom B'nai Israel Congregation
and Rachel is the program direc-
tor of Anshe Emet Synagogue.
