Author, lecturer and funeral
director, David Techner is nationally
recognized for his work with parents
and their children by educating
them to the wisdom and beauty of
the Jewish response to death.

MILDRED FEALK, 76, of

Southfield, died Aug. 17.
She is survived by her broth-
er and sister-in-law, Marvin
and Pat Siegel of Lathrup Vil-
lage; sister and brother-in-law,
Beartrice and Irving Keys of
Margate, Fla.; sister-in-law,
Gerry Botwin. She was the
beloved wife of the late Joseph
Fealk; mother of the late Fre-
delle Fealk-Tappert.
Graveside services were held
at Adat Shalom Cemetery in
Livonia. Contributions may be
made to Hospice of Southeast-
ern Michigan, 16250 Northland
Drive, Southfield, MI 48075.

HOWARD GORE, 70, of

Southfield, died Aug. 15. Mr.
Gore was a salesman for the
tool industry.

HAZEL HAUSER, 65, of Fras-

"Close the Window" is a delightful, funny, philosophical and
light-hearted play with a message. Originally written in Yiddish, the
play will be narrated in English.

PuppetArt Performs "Close the Window"

September 4, at Jimmy Prentis Morris Building
To open Jewish Community Center's Yiddish Month
PuppetArt, an outstanding group of Russian-American puppet
masters, is staging "Close the Window," a play based onan I.B. Singer
short story, "The First Shlemiel," at the Jewish Community Center's
Jimmy Prentis Morris building in Oak Park, 1:00pm, Thursday,
September 4, 1997.

The play helps usher in "Yiddish Month" at the JCC with many
events planned, including concerts.

FAY LEVY LIFBERS, 85, of

Las Vegas, died Aug. 14. Mrs.
Lipshaw was an office manager
for ORT and the Michigan Re-
gion of B'nai B'rith. She was ac-
