Lisa Pearlman

Lisa Beth Pearlman will cele-
brate her bat mitzvah at Temple
Israel on Friday, Aug. 22. She is
the daughter of Judy and Shel-
don Pearlman, sister of Erin and
grandchild of Sarah and Meyer
Pearlman and June and Dr.
Lowell Ressler.
Lisa worked with third-
graders at the Temple Israel Re-
ligious School as part of her
mitzvah project. Attending Or-
chard Lake Middle School, Lisa
is interested in painting, deco-
rating, drawing, music and
cheerleading.

Lindsey Erin Gold will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at Temple Is-
rael on Saturday evening, Aug.
23. She is the daughter of Lin-
da and Dr. Fredric Gold, sister
of Julie and grandchild of
Eleanor Moss and Beverly and
Sidney Spitz and the late Nor-
man Gold and the late David
Moss.
Lindsey's mitzvah projects in-
cluded assisting at a facility for
senior citizens. A student at Ab-
bott Middle School, she is on the
cheerleading team and enjoys
swimming and fashion.

Silberschein

Lindsey Erin Silberschein will
be called to the Torah as a bat
mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Saturday, Aug. 23. She is the
daughter of Jean and Dr. Glenn
Silberschein, sister of Brianne
and Graham, and grandchild of
Chris and James Duffin and the
late Nita and Joe Silberschein.
As part of her mitzvah pro-
ject, Lindsey assisted with the
younger children at Friday
evening services and with the
nursery at Temple Israel, as
well as donating to Mazon.
Lindsey is a student at Warner
Middle School and is interested
in music, basketball and track.

Sara Ann Henig will be called
to the Torah as bat mitzvah at
Kabbalat Shabbat services on
Friday, Aug. 22, at Temple Kol
Ami. Sara is the daughter of
Bonnie and David Henig. Sara's
proud grandparents are Sy
Henig and Patricia and Arnold
Scholz. She also is the grand-
daughter of the late Fern Henig.
Sara is a student at Hillel
Day School, where she is a
member of the school's first girl's
volleyball team, sings in the
show choir, was a narrator in
the seventh-grade production of
Joseph and participated in the
Science Fair. For the past two
years, Sara has been a
madricha at Temple Kol Ami's
Religious School and sings in
the Junior Choir.
Sara's mitzvah project in-
volved the collection of stuffed
animals and other toys and de-
livery of them to St. Joseph Mer-
cy Hospital in Pontiac.
