FRANK III, 51, of Los Angeles,

formerly of Detroit, died Aug. 2.
Dr. Frank, an endocrinologist,
was nationally known for his
work in diabetes research and
education. He established a dia-
betes training program in Long
Beach Veterans Hospital in
California and published many
articles relating to the compli-
cations of diabetes.
He is survived by his wife,
Maureen Frank; sons, David
Frank and Richard Frank of
Los Angeles; parents, Harry
and Peggy Frank Jr. of Los An-

DR. ARNOLD GORDON, 75,

of Huntington Woods, died Aug.
5. Dr. Gordon was an op-
tometrist with offices in Ham-
tramck and Royal Oak. A mem-
ber of American Optometric
Association, Dr. Gordon was a
co-founder of Low Vision Clinic
at Sinai Hospital. He graduated
from Ohio State University Col-
lege of Optometry in 1948 and
was a 1st lieutenant in the U.S.
Air Force during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of
53 years, Joan Gordon; daugh-
ters and sons-in-law, Nancy
Gordon and Steve Gellman of
Chicago, Sally and Robert Gold-
