Barbara and Norman Benjamin

daughter Karen Beth to Jordan
Howard Smith, son of Gaye and
Martin Smith of West Bloomfield.
Karen earned her bachelor of
arts degree in English and her ju-
ris doctor degree from the Uni-
versity of Michigan. She serves as
law clerk to Judge Patrick J. Dug-
gan, United States district judge
for the Eastern District of Michi-
gan. Upon completion of her clerk-

Dusen & Freeman in Bloomfield
Hills.
Jordan received both his bach-
elor of business administration de-
gree and his juris doctor degree
from the University of Michigan.
He earned a master of law degree
in taxation from New York Uni-
versity School of Law. Jordan is
an attorney with Jaffe, Raitt,
Heuer & Weiss in Detroit.
An October wedding is planned.

LaBan-Trostler
Elizabeth K Trostler, the daugh-
ter of Mrs. Arthur Trostler of Ma-
maroneck, N.Y., and the late Mr.
Trostler, was married recently to
Craig A. LaBan, son of Dr. and
Mrs. Myron M. LaBan of Bloom-
field Hills. Rabbi David Cahn-Lip-
man performed the ceremony at
the Coveleigh Club in Rye, N.Y.
Mr. and Mrs. LeBan received
master's degrees in journalism
from Columbia University. The
bridegroom is the restaurant crit-
ic for the Times-Picayune in New
Orleans, and the bride is a free-
lance writer whose work appears
in that newspaper.
The bride also is a journalism
instructor at Delgado Communi-
ty College in New Orleans. She
graduated from Trinity College
in Hartford. The bridegroom grad-
uated from the, University of
Michigan at Ann Arbor and re-
ceived a diploma from La
Varenne, a cooking school in
France.

Anne and Ed Fienman of Farm-
ington Hills recently celebrated
their 60th wedding anniversary
at a dinner given by their chil-
dren: Rosanne and Bennett
Fienman, Janice and David Is-
rael and Marilyn Dubrinsky.
Celebrating with them were
their grandchildren: Jamie,
Michael, David and Matthew
Fienman, Franci, Lisa and
Wendy Israel, Brian Dubrinsky,
Karen and Jay Dubrinsky with
their son, great-grandchild Max.
Grandchildren Jill and Alan
Dubrinsky of Coming, Ga., could
