JNF Honors
Two Doctors
Dr. Jeffrey D. Forman and Dr.
Arthur T. Porter will be honored
by the Jewish National Fund at
a tribute dinner 6 p.m. Wednes-
day, Aug. 13, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
Dr. Forman is the Patricia and
E. Jan Hartmann Professor of Ra-
diation Oncology at Wayne State
University and the Barbara Ann
Karmanos Cancer Institute. Dr.
Porter holds the positions of pro-
fessor and chairman at the de-
partment of radiation oncology,
Wayne State University School
of Medicine in Detroit, as well as
professor and chairman of the de-
partment of radiation oncology at
the Medical College of Ohio in
Toledo.
At the dinner, Drs. Forman
and Porter will receive JNFs Tree
of Life Award, given in recogni-
tion of professional and humani-
tarian leadership.
The Dr. Jeffrey D. Forman and
Dr. Arthur T. Porter Afforesta-
tion Project will be established in
the American Independence Park
