Crash Course
In Hebrew

Congregation Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses will offer a Hebrew
Reading Crash Course to pro-
vide a more meaningful High
Holy Day experience.
The eight-week Hebrew read-
ing crash course is geared to-
ward "Jewish Beginners," as
well as those who attend holiday
services three times a year but
are unable to follow or appreci-
ate the liturgy.
The course will start 7:30-9
p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at Con-

Sunie Levin has been deemed
the "guru of grandparenting"
by the press and has appeared
as a frequent guest on national
and local television and radio
networks throughout the coun-
try. Levin's articles on the
art of grandparenting have
appeared in senior and parent-
ing newspapers. Levin is
founder of the Young Grand-
parents' Club, which has a
membership in all 50 states and
abroad.
There is no charge for this
program. Refreshments will be

The Michigan Jewish Institute,
the state's only four-year Jew-
ish college, will move into an in-
terim campus until construction

Bingo will be played at the

Marilyn Wolfe will present an
afternoon of travel information
about upcoming center travel op-
portunities 1 p.m. Thursday,
July 31. No charge; refresh-
ments will be served.
Weekly Erev Shabbat services
will take place 12:45 p.m. on Fri-
days. Cantor David Gutman will (--
facilitate every week with
prayers and songs.

IRP Picnic,
Weekend Set

The Jewish Community Center's
Institute for Retired Profession-
als will host its 12th annua
picnic 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday,
July 30, at Camp Ruth behind
Maple-Drake. Bring your own
dinner. Soft drinks and snacks
will be provided. There is a
$1 charge, and guests are wel-
come.
