The End Is Here! Concert

Ancient Egypt

The Detroit Institute of Arts is the only Midwestern venue
for "Splendors of Ancient Egypt," the largest exhibition of
ancient Egyptian treasures to ever tour America. Featur-
ing over 200 masterpieces offering a panoramic view of an-
cient Egypt from the predynastic period to the 7th century
C.E., the exhibition includes statues, mummy cases (such
as the anthropoid coffin of Amenemope, circa 1490 B.C.E.,
pictured), jewelry, wall carvings and ceramics, pointing to
the age of pharaohs, political unrest, technical achieve-
