The dean's list at Brandeis Uni-
versity named two locals: DAVID
SALAMA, of Farmington Hills,
is the son of Joseph and Rita Sala-
ma. ESTHER ADLER, of
Bloomfield Hills, is the daugh-
ter of Josh and Judith Adler.

TAL SHARON, of Southfield, re-
ceived a bachelor of science degree
from Sy Syms School of Business
at Yeshiva University's 66th an-
nual commencement.

KAREN GUNSBERG has been

appointed to the board of direc-
tors of Gilda's Club. Gunsberg, of
West Bloomfield, is a realtor with
Century 21, Town and Country,
Birmingham. She has chaired the
Food Donation Committee for the
annual Gilda's Club Walk each
year. She also serves on the board
of the Anti-Defamation League.

The Borns Jewish Studies Pro-
gram at Indiana University has
awarded JEREMY SHERE, of
Bloomfield Hills, the 1997-98 In-
diana University Friends of the
Borns Jewish Studies Program
Graduate Fellowship at Indiana
University. Shere will begin grad-
uate studies in English at Indi-
ana University this fall with a
concentration in American Jew-
ish literature and Holocaust lit-
erature.
