Volunteers of the Brandeis Uni-
versity National Women's Com-
mittee have gathered more than
100,000 books, magazines, records
and various memorabilia which
will go on sale at the Tel-12 Mall,
Telegraph and 12 Mile roads, be-
ginning Wednesday, Aug. 13-20.
Aug. 13 is preview night, be-
ginning at 9:30 p.m. and lasting
through midnight. Tickets for the
preview go on sale in the after-
noon at the mall — cost $4. There-
after, admission to the show is
free. On Tuesday, Aug. 19, and
Wednesday, Aug. 20, prices on re-
maining items will be reduced 50
percent.
The sale is a nonprofit event;
all proceeds will be donated to the
Brandeis University Library in
Waltham, Mass.
All books remaining at the end
of the sale will be distributed free
to schools, libraries, retirement
homes, nursery schools and oth-
er deserving organizations. Rep-
resentatives of those groups are
invited to view and take their pick
of material on the final evening of
the sale. Teachers and recent
Russian emigres are also invit-
ed to take books at that time.
This event raising funds for
Brandeis University Library also
helps make funds available for
more than 100 university libraries
throughout the United States via
University Computer Programs.

Stars Of David
Annual Picnic

The Stars of David, a support and
social group for Jewish families,
will hold its annual picnic 11:30
a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, at
Camp Ruth in the back of the
Maple-Drake JCC. There is a
charge of $5 per adult, $2.50 per
child, with a maximum of $15 per
family.
Bring a dairy lunch for your
family. Paper goods, drinks and
dessert will be provided. In case
of rain, the picnic will be held in-
side the main building Single par-
ents, as well as those waiting to
adopt are welcome.
