In Caesarea Plant

Jerusalem (JPFS) — The owners
of Carmel Container Systems, Is-
rael's largest packaging compa-
ny, invested S40 million in a new
plant in Caesarea, Robert Kraft,
the company's Boston-based ma-
jor shareholder, said.
Mr. Kraft, who also owns the
New England Patriots football
team and the Foxboro Stadium,
said the investment was neces-
,
sary in order to "bring the com•
pany into the new millennium.
The money went to building the
new plant and equipping it with
the most advanced technology
available, Mr. Kraft said. The
company, which employs 700Pe.°"
ple, does not expect to increase its
work force.
The company holds a 50 per -
cent market share.
