ORT Holds
Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of Women's
American ORT will take place
at the Novi Hilton July 20-
21. On Sunday afternoon,
Ruth Taffel, the national presi-
dent of Women's American
ORT, will be the keynote speak-
er. Dr. Florence "Dinghy" Sharp,
a pioneer in remedial education,
will be represented with
the Tikkun Olam award.
She will be presented with a
sculpture designed by Henry
Friedman, a former ORT stu-
dent and resident of West
Bloomfield.
Former State Representative
Maxine Berman will speak on
"Political Empowerment of
Women."
On Sunday evening, at a bar-
becue hosted by David and
Doreen Hermelin at their home,
Mrs. Hermelin will be present-
ed with the Tzedakah Award for
her years of dedication to the
ORT program. The weekend
will end Saturday evening with
the Best of Motown Gala at the
Novi Hilton.

Holds Meeting

The Yiddish Culture Club will
meet 1 p.m. Thursday, July 10,

For ADD, ADHD

Jewish Vocational Service (JVS)
will offer an employment pro-
gram for adults with Attention
Deficit Disorder (ADD) and At-
tention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder (ADHD).
Free informational meetings
will be held at 6 p.m. July 22
and Aug. 26 at JVS.
Guests will hear about "Man-
aging for Success: ADD in
the Workplace," an interactive
employment program designed
to help participants understand
their work style and how to
use it to their advantage. Infor-
mation on how to enroll and
fees for service will be pro-
vided.
