Fredrick Simon, a Temple Beth
El member for over 30 years, be-
gins his second term as president
of the congregation. A past tem-
ple treasurer and vice president,
former president of the Married
Group and a past chair of the
Temple Ways and Means Com-
mittee, Mr. Simon was installed
at the 147th annual meeting of
the congregation.
Serving with Mr. Simon will be
Marion Freedman, first vice pres-
ident; Alan A. May, second vice
president; David F. Simon, trea-
surer; and Sanford Passer, secre-
tary. Elected to the board of
trustees are Norman J. Cohen,
Warren Coville, Susan Fenster,
Jennifer Hollander, Sybil Hoff-
man, Arnold Joseff, Marshall
Loewenstein and Charles Mayer.
Serving on the nominating com-
mittee for 1998 are Robert Cobb,
Herbert Kaufman and Jo-Ann
MacWilliams Wolf.

at the recent Young Israel Council of Metropolitan Detroit annual dinner.
