t other local fairs, children may get to ride a
erris wheel or play games. But how often do
they have the opportunity to be fingerprint-
ed and practice evacuating a school bus?
For the second year in a row, Yeshiva
Darchei Torah's safety expo generated a big crowd and
lots of fun. Representatives from 17 community ser-
vice organizations — including the Southfield Fire De-
partment and Michigan State Police — provided
demonstrations and safety tips at the fair, held in the
parking lot of Southfield-Lathrup High School.
"The people that came were wonderful," said
Darchei Torah principal Sarah Kahn. "They explained
everything to the children. The fire marshal was fan-
tastic." ❑
