Federation Women
Install Slotkin

Edie N. Slotkin has been in-
\ stalled as president of the Jew-
/ ish Federation Women's
Campaign and Education De-
partment. A member of the
Federation Board of Governors,
Mrs. Slotkin is a former
Women's Campaign chair. She
has chaired or co-chaired many
missions to Israel, including the
Women's Hadracha, and took
a leadership role in the first
Michigan Miracle Mission to Is-
rael.
Elected with Mrs. Slotkin
were Beverly Liss, campaign
vice president; Roz Komisar
Blanck, Rose Rita Goldman,
Susie Jacob and Sandy Shipper, Edie Slotkin
education vice presidents; Ani-
ta Naftaly, recording secretary; Agnes Klein, corresponding secre-
tary; and Paula Glazier and Beverly Liss, designates to the board
of governors.
Elected to the board for a first term were Sharon Berry, Joan Cher-
noff-Epstein, Carol Weintraub Fogel, Gina Horwitz, Susie Leemas-
ter, Hannah Moss, Gayle Samuels, Sheri Schiff and Sandy Shipper.
Named for a second term were Paulette Bonin, Margie Federman,
Illana Panush Greenberg, Julie Levy, Sharon Lipton, Anita Naftaly,
Audrey Sobel, Gwen Weiner and Trudy Weiss.
Serving on the Advisory Service Council are Joyce Blum, Barbara
Cook, Marcy Feldman, Marilyn Goldberg, Micki Grossman, Ter-
ran Leemis, Janet Levine, Ilene Nemer, Sandy Schwartz, Joyce Sher-
man, Charlotte Tessler and Jeannie Weiner.
Re-elected to the Advisory Service Council were Doris August,
- Ruth Broder, Fayga Dombey, Bernice Gershenson, Joan Goldrath,
Marion Handleman, Marian Kantor, Marjorie Krasnick, Belle Kukes,
Marjorie Kurzmann, Linda Lee, Geri Lester, Sherri Lumberg, Bev-
erly Peterman, Blanche Pollack, Evelyn Silverman and Beryl Winkel-

David S. Wyman 7

22, at the Maple-
Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center. Dr.
Wyman will speak on
the "The Bombing of
Auschwitz." This con-
troversy has resur-
faced now that the
David Wyman
Swiss government
has responded to U.S. criticism by asking the U.S. government
why it didn't bomb the death camp.
Dr. Wyman is Josiah DuBois professor of history, emeritus,
from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He holds a Ph.D.
in history from Harvard University. He holds honorary doc-
torates at both Hebrew Union College and Yeshiva Universi-
ty. The public is invited. No reservations are necessary; there
is no charge.
