Sharona Chapter Na'amat USA
will have a summer luncheon

JARC Hosts
Theater Benefit

JARC will host a benefit perfor-
mance of Bring in 'du Noise,
Bring in 'du Funk on Sunday,
October 5, at the Fisher Theatre.
For the first time, JARC will of-
fer both a matinee and evening
performance for the annual
fund-raising event.
The benefit will support the
16 homes and four independent
living programs for people with
developmental disabilities JARC
operates in Oakland County.
Jim Zack has been named
chairperson of the benefit. Mr.
Zack serves as vice president of
the JARC board of directors and
was associate chair of the 1996
benefit.
Tickets for the event will be-
gin at $50. Call JARC, (248) 352-

Latte Learning
At Borders

Congregations B'nai Moshe and
Beth Abraham Hillel Moses will
offer a summer "Latte and
Learning" adult Jewish study
series with Rabbi Aaron
Bergman 10-11:30 a.m. Mon-
days, starting June 23, at Bor-
ders Books and Music, on
Orchard Lake Road just south
of 14 Mile Road in Farmington
Hills.
Participants receive a free 12-
ounce coffee or tea at each ses-
sion. "Latte and Learning" will
focus on Rabbi Bergman's three
favorite rabbis in Jewish histo-
ry: Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav,
the Rambam (Rabbi Moses ben
Maimon, a.k.a. Maimonides),
and Rabbi Abraham Joshua
Heschel.
The tuition fee is $40 for
members of B'nai Moshe and
BAHM, $56 for others. Those
who are unable to attend all
eight sessions have the option of
signing up for individual session
dates ($6 per session for mem-
bers of CBM and BAUM, $8 per
session for others).
Prepaid registration is re-
quired.
