Shout

Shouting, pictured, is a photo/film, steel, fiberglass, wood and
stone installation that speaks of the conflict between Jews in
Israel. Deanna Sperka, who teaches at CCS, created the in-
stallation during a residency in Jerusalem, and was inspired
by the state's controversies "Peace Now" vs. nationalists,
secular vs. religious. The installation can be viewed through
June at the Ann Arbor Art Center, 117 W. Liberty; (313) 994-
8004. Sperka also will resume her series of museum and gallery
tours of contemporary art in southeastern Michigan, offered
11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 6. Call (248) 968-
5112.
