He's A Champ

My Dad is the best in the world because he takes
me to basketball, baseball and hockey games. He
goes with me on class trips, takes us camping
and skiing, and is always there to do fun stuff
with us. Even though my parents are divorced,
I still have a great time with him. My Dad's the
best and I love him so much!

Pages From A Life

From The Heart

My fondest memories of my father,
George Joshua Rich, are from
when I was a little girl. On Valen-
tine's Day, he bought me a very
special gift. It was always from
him, not my mother.
As I grew up, he still never for-
got me and would send me a card
signed, "Love, Daddy." The day be-
fore he died, he remembered to
buy me a card and a gift for Valen-
tine's Day. That was 12 years ago,
and even though I am grown with
children of my own, I will never
forget those wonderful days I was
able to share with him. Now, I do
the same thing with my own two
boys on Valentine's Day, and I
hope they will some day share the
memories with their children. I
miss my father and I still love him
very much.

One of the greatest memories I have of
my father, Rudolph Keller, is from
when I was 7 years old. I remember the
night like it was yesterday.
I had been lying in bed for hours,
tossing and turning. It was far past
bedtime, but I could not sleep.
There was a faint knock on my door.
It was so quiet that I wasn't sure if I
was hearing things. Again, there was
a knock.
"Come in," I whispered.
As the door slowly
crept open, there he

nephew,
and handsome. The light

to flow over his shoul-

ders, giving him a distinct silhouette.
"Sweetheart, what are you doing up
so late?" he asked. He was speaking so
softly and quietly that I knew my moth-
er was not awake.
"I can't sleep, Daddy," I replied.
"That's what I figured you would say,
so I brought you these." In my father's
hand was a flashlight and a book. He
told me I could read under my covers
until I got sleepy.
Not only did the book help me to fall
asleep, but I have had a love of read-
ing ever since. This is just one of the
many great gifts my father has given
me.

Dancing And Diapers

Dear Dad, Bruce Brickman:
We want you to know how much we love you and to say
thank you for everything you do for us.
You are at every basketball and baseball game, always
ready to assist or cheer us on. You take the time to be at
our special school programs and help out with school pro-
jects. You work hard all day, yet you always find time to
wrestle, shoot hoops, bake, cook, dance to "Joseph," change
diapers, read bedtime stories and watch "Star Trek" with
us.
You are truly a great Dad. Happy Father's Day. We love
you!
