Ruthe Goldstein

When Ruthe Goldstein assumes
the presidency of Shaarey Zedek
Sisterhood on Monday, June 16,
she will be upholding a family
tradition. She is the daughter of
one past president, the late Bea
Katzman, and the sister of an-
other, outgoing president Judie
Blumeno.

Serving a second two-year term
are Adele Gaba Band, Sharon
Berry, Marcia Boman, Melissa
Duke, Diane Gartner, Gail Good-
stein, Barbara Grant, Roberta
Grosinger, Doreen Hermelin,
Ellen Labes, Shirley Levin, Evie
Levine, Randee Lipman, Ilene Ne-
mer, Gail Schwartz, JoAnn
Shatanoff, Dottie Wagner.
Sisterhood installation will be
held 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 16,
at Shaarey Zedek. Rabbi Irwin
Groner will be installing officer.
Following lunch, Susan Bern-
stein, chairwoman of the Sis-
terhood Braille Committee, will
present a program'on the Israel
Guide Dog Center for the Blind.
Cost of the luncheon is $12.

Consecrated at and graduated
from Shaarey Zedek Religious
School and a member of the first
Shaarey Zedek Adult Bat Mitz-
vah class, Ms. Goldstein is on the
faculty of the synagogue's reli-
gious school. She is a former
member of the congregation's bat
mitzvah, adult bat mitzvah,
membership and youth commit-
tees and the siyum HaTorah and
a current member of the schol-
arship, host and life cycle com-
mittees.
Also being installed June 16

Glickman and Ronna Ross, fund-
raising; Miriam Goldberg and
Evelyn Silverman, membership;
