Sallen Chapter held its annual
election of officers to serve during
the 1997-98 year.

The men's group was estab-
lished to support day care centers
in Israel. Among the fund-raisers
coming soon is the annual fami-
ly and guest picnic and barbecue,

cial performance of What A Ball!
The lighthearted play, written and

ie Klein, is about a senior volley-
ball team.

JPM will host "The Doctor Is
In," a weekly health screening that
is available on Thursdays from 1-
3 p.m. Dr. Aubrey Goldman and
Shirley Kramer, R.N., in cooper-

blood pressure and fasting blood
sugar testing at no charge.
Wednesday afternoon socials
are held at 1 p.m. each week. Lo-
cal entertainers sing a variety of

Mrs. Berg is director of edu-
cation for Temple Kol Ami. Pre-
viously, she taught English at
West Bloomfield High School
and at Beth Jacob Girls' School.
She also taught drama at Hillel
Day School.
Mr. Schechter serves on the
Shaarey Zedek board and the
endowment board. Mrs.
Schechter is a member of the
synagogue's sisterhood and has
been a volunteer for the
Women's World Committee.
Both are active with the Jewish
Federation and the Allied Jew-
ish Campaign. Currently Mrs.
Schechter is co-chairperson for
Days of Decision. She is involved
with Yad Ezra, National Coun-
cil of Jewish Women and Israel
Bonds. Mr. Schechter has been
a board member of the Jewish
Federation Apartments for the
past 10 years.
