The synagogue will hold a brief
Minchah service followed by two
simultaneous adult Torah study
sessions from 7:15 to 8 p.m.; 'The
Shattered Tablets of the Law:
Law and Commandment at
Mount Sinai," taught by Edward
Codish; and "Ruth and The Com-
mandment to Love," taught by
Susann Codish. No knowledge of
Hebrew is required for either of
the study sessions. Child care will
be available at..no charge.
Following the Torah study ses-
sions, there will be a short
Ma'ariv service. Dessert and cof-
fee will be served.
B'nai Moshe
Studyfest
Adults and families are invited to
participate in Congregation B'nai
Moshe's Tikkun Leil Shavuot
Torah Studyfest beginning at
8:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 10,
building up to a sunrise Shachar-
it service at 6 a.m. Wednesday,
June 11.
The Tikkun will begin with
candlelighting and a brief Ma'ariv
service at 8:45 p.m. Study ses-
sions will follow through the
night. There will be a Shavuot
zemriyah (songfest) at midnight,
led by Steve Rabinovitz.
The Tikkun will include an on-
going pizza party, plus fresh fruit
and light dairy desserts through-
out the night. There will be su-
pervised activities for children, a
Scrabble tournament, puzzles,
board games. Parents are en-
couraged to bring their children
(with sleeping bags and pillows,
please). Everyone is welcome,
without regard to membership or
affiliation. There is no charge, al-
though tzedakah is welcome.
To help plan staffing, refresh-
ments, seating and sleeping ac-
commodations, and study
material hand-outs, reservations
