sunset, like a final farewell, signals a change in
our lives. Inevitably, however, night gives way to
day and we must accept this change. For over 50
years, THE IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL has served the
Detroit Jewish Community with dedication.
THE KAUFMAN COMMUNITY CORNER
JOIN THE JARC FLOWER-A-THON
SUNDAY, JUNE 8 - 9:30-11:30 A.M.
The JARC Young Adult Committee welcomes the entire community
to grab your garden gloves and help spruce up a JARC home at the
annual Flower-A-Thon, Sunday, June 8 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Volunteers for this fun and rewarding project should meet at the
JARC office in Southfield. We will supply each team with plenty of
flowers to plant at one of JARC's 16 homes. This event is a great
activity for all ages—bring the whole family.
JARC is a local organization dedicated to providing quality homes
and services in support of adults with developmental disabilities,
allowing them to live rich full lives. JARC provides emotional sup-
port, education and advocacy for families with a disabled family
member.
In addition to its 16 homes, JARC operates four independent living
programs as well as the Keshet Family Support Program.
To volunteerfor the JARC Flower-A-Thon, orfor more information
about JARC, call Shirley Jarcaig (248) 352-5272.
