United Way

Ann Arbor Teen Connection will
spend the day at Cedar Point on
Sunday, June 1. This month's
council meetings will be held at 7
p.m. Tuesday, June . 2, in the
Maple-Drake Jewish Communi-
ty Center for AZA, and Wednes-
day, June 3, for BBG. Each
meeting will be followed by the Re-
gional Life Ceremony which hon-
ors graduating seniors.
Michigan Region BBYO will
hold the AZA and BBG Council
Installations and Award Night 7
p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Beth
Abraham Hillel Moses. The new-
ly elected AZA and BBG Region-
al Executive Boards will be
installed. Chapter and individual
awards will be presented and
summer program scholarships
will be announced.
Metropolitan Detroit Teen Con-
nection will spend the day at
Cedar Point Thursday, June 19.
The bus will depart from the West
Bloomfield JCC at 7 a.m. and re-
turn at 10 p.m. The cost is $35 and
is open to Teen Connection mem-
bers only. Applications are due by
Friday, June 6, on a first-come
first-serve basis.

Youth Programs
In Israel

Eighteen area students will par-
ticipate in Israel programs this
summer under the auspices of the
Zionist Organization of America.
Enrolled in the Masada/Mac-
cabi Summer in Israel programs
of the ZOA are Oren Basse, Noah
Bergman, Brian Cooper, liana Ko-
hen, Marla Pollack, Jennifer
Raznick and Joshua Weiner.
Enrollees in other approved Is-
rael programs, who received schol-
arships from the Masada/Maccabi
Scholarship Endowment Fund of
Metro Detroit ZOA, are Ellie Berg-
er, Leah M. Broyde, Esther L. In-
gber, Jeremy A. Jutkowitz, Tova
R. Moskowitz, Lori Rubinstein,
Ari Sherizen, Shimra Starr,
Michele Sushin, Lara R Sussman
and Benjamin Turbow.
Masada/Maccabi programs
of the ZOA are aff
iliated with
the Maccabi World Union
and its enrollees will partici-
pate in the 15th Maccabiah
Games to be held in Israel this
summer.

Publicity Deadlines

The normal deadline for local news
and publicity items is noon Thursday,
eight days prior to issue date. The
deadline for out-of-town obituaries
is 10 a.m. Tuesday, three days prior
to issue date.
