Becker is co-valedictorian and recipient of the
Madame Curie science/math award and the Xe-
rox humanities/social science award. She is ac-
tive in orchestra, Future Problem Solving,
drama, Oakland Teen Democrats and Patterns
literary magazine. She was a co-presenter at the
Junior Academy of Sciences. She will attend
Oberlin College.

Tarnow is a member of National Honor Society,
Phi Beta Kappa, Blues Honor Corps and Dream
Dialogue. She was a forensics state finalist, on var-
sity cross country, and is an accomplished figure
skater. She is president of Shir Shalom Temple
Youth. She won a U-M Regents-Alumni Scholar-
ship and will attend the University of Michigan
Honors College or Northwestern University.
