Following the election of officers and the board for the 1997/98 year, the evening will feature a keynote presentation, "Catching Fire: Scrapping the Continuity Agenda," by guest presenter Joseph Kohane, executive direc- tor of the Wexner Jewish Student Center for the Ohio State Uni- versity Hillel. Mr. Kohane was born in Poland and immigrated to France and then to New York. His education- al background spans from Cha- sidic day school to Reform rabbinical seminary to Judaic graduate studies. Ordained at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University, Rabbi Feld is a former U.S. Army chaplain. He is affiliated with the United Jewish Appeal-Federation of Jew- ish Philanthropies of New York and has served as chaplain and director of religious affairs at the Hebrew Home for the Aged in Riverdale, N.Y., chaplain in St. Louis, Mo., in New York and New Jersey. In Israel, he served as a family social worker specializing in geriatrics.
