Riback is Phi Beta Kappa,
member of National Honor So-
ciety, was captain and All-Area
honorable mention in wrestling.
He plays piano, composes music
and is a graduate of Hillel Day
School. He will attend the Col-
lege of Engineering at the Uni-
versity of Michigan.
Rosenbaum was president of
Jolson AZA and Michigan Re-
gion, and international liaison to
the Anti-Defamation League. He
was active in Student Council,
the Peer Mediation Program,
and a national qualifier in
DECA. He won the Neree D. Alix
Memorial Scholarhship by the
West Bloomfield Optimist Club
and will study pre-law at the
University of Michigan.
Rosenthal is a National Merit
finalist, Tandy Technology Schol-
ar, winner of Madame Curie and
Bausch and Lomb science
awards, and Smith College Book
Award. She was forensics broad-
casting state champion, co-
president of Students for Envi-
ronmental Quality, peer tutor,
and involved in pompon, softball,
Livonia Youth Symphony Flute
Choir, Interact and Quiz Bowl.
She will attend Yale University.
Rubin is a member of National
Honor Society, Phi Beta Kappa,
Student Council, Math League,
Peer Mediation, Drama Club,
and performed in four school
plays. He was a Boys' State del-
egate and is B'nai B'rith Youth
Organization regional Judaism
chair. He is a graduate of Hillel
Day School. He will study pre-
medicine at the University of
Michigan.
Saks is a member of National
Honor Society and won a U.S.
Achievement Award. He is ac-
tive with National Conference of
Synagogue Youth, and volun-
teers at Yad Ezra and Menorah
House. He received WSU Pres-
idential and Phi Beta Kappa
Wilson scholarships and will
study English and pre-medicine
at Wayne State University.

Schonberg is a National Merit
finalist, co-captain of Quiz Bowl,
member of National Honor So-
ciety and named Laker of the
Year on the swim team. He was
a Michigan Math Competition fi-
nalist. He was offered U-M
Honorary Engineering and Re-
gents-Alumni scholarships and
will attend either the Universi-
ty of Michigan or Carnegie-Mel-
lon University.
Schuchman is Phi Beta Kap-
pa, in the 95th percentile of U.S.
German students, is a Hillel day
School graduate and an active
volunteer there. He won a U-M
Regents-Alumni Scholarship and
will study pre-medicine at the
University of Michigan.
Roeper
Scaglione was a member of
yearbook staff, junior varsity bas-
ketball, varsity track and
volleyball, Roeper Theater Com-
pany and Student Government.
She is social action vice president
for Temple Israel Temple Youth
and the North American Feder-
ation of Temple Youth. She will
attend the University of Michi-
gan.
Schindler is co-valedictorian, a
National Merit Scholar, Prince-
ton Book Award finalist, mem-
ber of National Honor Society
and Spanish Honor Society. He
was secretary of Oakland Coun-
ty Teen Democrats from 1994-
96, attended the 1995 National
Young Leaders Conference, and
participated in the 1994 Junior
Olympics in fencing. He plans to
major in Hispanic studies at
Oberlin College.
Groves
Schock is a member of Nation-
al Honor Society, Phi Beta Kap-
pa, and won the Outstanding
Achievement in Physics Award.
She played junior varsity tennis,
held several offices in Zahav
BBG, competed on the 1994 na-
tional champion precision figure
skating team and in the inter-
national championships in
Finland. She plans to study com-
puter science at Cornell Univer-
sity.
