(lad Rhino Records, 1996) Imagine prominent singers from every area of music ap- pearing on a single CD. Imag- ine that not a one of the artists is making a penny from the recording. "For Our Children, Too!" is the latest in a series of CDs to benefit the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, established by Elizabeth Glaser (1947-1994), who created the fund after her daughter, Mel, died of the dis- ease. Profits from "For Our Children, Too!" go to the foun- dation, as did those of the first "For Our Children," a thor- oughly wonderful collection featuring such artists as Barbra Streisand, Heart, Bruce Spring- steen, Paul McCartney and Bette Midler. Unfortu- nately, that's the case with this Ct- irrt.:115 117. 4 new recording, "Innocent Voices: The Verse of Terezin's Children." There's always an under- 3 stood danger in putting a new twist on any work of art. Film makers speak ad nauseam about the anxiety they feel while making a movie from a well-known and much -loved novel. And how often have you heard "new versions" of
