Silas-Char
Bonnie Maryl Char and Glen
Howard Silas were recently mar-
ried at Temple Israel. Rabbi
Harold Loss and Cantor Harold
Orbach officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Joan and Sherman Char of Farm-
ington Hills. The groom is the son
of Zelda and Ronald Silas of Po-
tomac, M.D.
Betsy Blackman, sister of the
bride, was matron of honor, Nicole
Roth, friend of the bride, was maid
of honor. Kenneth Abrams and
Mark Oser, friends of the groom,
were best men. Bridesmaids were
Heidi Char, sister-in-law of the
bride; Dana Silas, sister of the
groom; and Terri Warren and
Ilene Goldfine, friends of the bride.
Groomsmen were Bradley Char,
brother of the bride; Brett Fried-
man, cousin of the groom; and
Gregory Bourina, Eric Castro, Jef-
frey Geller and Thomas Kirages,
friends of the groom.
The couple also was honored to
have Beebe (Baba) Char, grand-
mother of the bride, and Jeffr6y
Blackman, brother-in-law of the
bride, participate in their wedding
ceremony.
Following a honeymoon in
Tahiti, Bonnie and Glen reside
in Chicago.
Bonnie and Glen earned their
bachelor degrees from the Uni-
versity of Michigan. Bonnie grad-
uated with a master's degree in
physical therapy from North-
western University and is a phys-
ical therapist at Northwestern
Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
Glen will graduate in June from
the Chicago Medical School. They
will be relocating to the Wash-
ington, D.C., area, where Glen
will begin his residency at George
Washington University Medical
Center in obstetrics and gyne-
cology; Bonnie will continue to
practice physical therapy.
