JEWELRY SHOW AT MESA ARTS CHRISTOPHER'S ENTERPRISES •Traditional a collection of exquisitely crafted jewelry designs •Collectable "I lost my first wife to cancer in 1978, and our director lost his wife. Then we had weddings, and we had births. Through those 11 years, we each shared one family in the daytime and had another family in the evenings and on weekends." The show family keeps in touch, and Marion Ross, who played the wife of Bosley's char- acter, is his neighbor. Bosley's real wife of 17 years, Patricia Carr Bosley, has been a producer and actress. He has a daughter from his first marriage, three stepchildren and a fourth grandchild on the way. Two of his children have followed him into show business and are production ex- ecutives. "Prior to coming to Detroit, I got a call from a first cousin, who wanted to remind me his son (Steven Borzak) was a doctor here; then the son called and in- vited me to dinner. "Another cousin called to re- mind me his son was a rabbi in Boston, where we'll also be tak- ing the show. The rabbi soon celled and invited me to the syn- agogue there. "Early on, I figured that on this tour I was going to be cov- ered medically in Detroit and spiritually in Boston." Bosley has signed to be with Show Boat for at least six months, anticipating stops in California and Arizona. He'll take off three performances to help his wife as she produces a charity show for SHARE (Share Happily and Reap Endlessly), a group that has raised close to $40 million for children's special- needs facilities. The entertainer is a founder and continuing member of the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington and has been co- chairman of the membership committee of the American Can- cer Society. A baseball enthusiast, he has taken in one Tiger game and looks forward to another during his stay in Detroit. "Some very nice lady heard me on a radio show when I was saying that I was a baseball fan," he said. "She came to the theater that night and left me five tick- ets for opening day, and we re- ally enjoyed it. "Our whole company is going out together to Tiger Stadium on May 8, and we will sing the national anthem before the af- ternoon game against Kansas City." 0 e Show Boat continues at the Masonic Temple Theatre through May 24.
