nomic Club of Grand Rapids' an-
nual dinner 7 p.m. Wednesday,
May 7, at the Amway Grand
Plaza, Grand Rapids.

Mission Set
For Lawyers

An information meeting about a
first-of-its-kind mission to Israel
for Jewish judges and lawyers
will take place 7:30 p.m. Tues-
day, May 13. For location, call

The mission, scheduled Oct.
25-Nov. 2, is sponsored by the
Jewish Federations of Metropol-
itan Detroit and Washtenaw
County.
Designed to acquaint local pro-
fessionals with legal institutions
and issues in Israel, the mission
will include visits to courts, in-
cluding the Israel Supreme Court
building.
Cost of the trip, $2,499 per per-
son, includes airfare from Detroit
and deluxe hotel accommoda-
tions. Participants will be asked
to make a pledge to the 1998 Al-
lied Jewish Campaign.
