Hillel Hosts
Adult Classes

A new set of Wednesday night
Judaica classes for adults will be-
gin May 7 at Hillel Day School,
co-sponsored by Hillel Day
School, Congregation Beth Abra-
ham Hillel Moses and Congre-
gation B'nai Moshe.
"Conversion . Issues in the
Book of Ruth," a five-part series,
will be taught by Ruth Bergman
from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Ms. Bergman
will teach another five-part se-
ries titled "Visionaries, Heroes,
Prophets and Kings: Leadership
Values in the Torah," from 7:15
to 8 p.m. There is no charge for
Hillel parents or for members of
the two sponsoring synagogues.
The cost for others is $25 for each
series.
Leonard I. Wanetik will lead
a two-part mini-course titled
"Torah Portion of the Week" from
7:15 to 8 p.m.ion May, 7 and May
14. There is-: no charge for Hillel
parents or for members of B'nai
Moshe and Beth Abraham Hil-
lel Moses. The cost for others is
$10.
Rabbi Aaron Bergman will
lead a two-part mini-course ti-
tled "Primo Levi: The Uncrushed
Spirit," from 7:15 to 8 p.m. on
May 21 and June 4. There is no
charge for Hillel parents or for
members of the sponsoring con-
gregations. Cost for others is
$10.
Tom Wexelberg-Clouser, Mid-
west regional director for the
Jewish Theological Seminary,
will teach a four-part series be-
ginning May 14 on "The Idea of
`Judeo-Christian'— Myth or Re-
ality?" from 7:15 to 8 p.m. There
is no charge for Hillel parents or
members of the sponsoring con-
gregations. For others, the tu-
ition is $20.
These adult courses at Hillel
Day School are scheduled in tan-
dem with Hillel alumni classes
for ninth- and 10th-graders.
More detailed course de-
scriptions of the new Wednes-
day night classes at Hillel Day
School are available on request.
