Mrs. Sorscher was known for her works of charity. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Yehu- da and Esther Sorscher of New York, Moshe and Naomi Sorsch- er of New York; daughters and sons-in-law, Raiselle and Chuck Snow of Southfield, Leah and Abraham Kar of Southfield, Ida Sorscher, Elkie and Rabbi Joel Price, Hannah Sorscher, Sarah Sorscher, Tova and Chayim Cohn, all of New York; numer- ous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Mrs. Sorscher was the beloved wife of the late Aaron J. Sorscher. Interment at Har Hamenu- chot in Jerusalem. This an- nouncement was placed at the request of the family by Hebrew Memorial Chapel. SAMUEL SORSCHER, 84, of Flint, died April 25. He was born in Minsk, Russia, and emi- grated to the United States when he was 7. He attended Flint Central High School, Flint College, Northwestern Dental School and the University of Michigan Dental School. He opened his practice on Davison Road near Franklin in 1939. He interrupted his career to serve as an officer in the United States Army in Europe from 1942-1946. Dr. Sorscher was active in the Flint Jewish community. He served as director of Machpelah Cemetery for almost 50 years. He also served terms as presi- dent, treasurer and board mem- ber of Congregation Beth Israel. Dr. Sorscher provided free den- tal care to Native Americans, co- ordinating with officials in sever- al countries. Dr. Sorscher also enjoyed sailing and was an ac- complished weaver, specializing in prayer shawls. He is survived by his children, Randee of Southfield, Berna of Flint, Stanley (Judith Arms) of Seattle, Wash., and Mitchell (Thea Tober) of Walnut Creek, Calif.; five grandchildren; beloved companion, Goldie Talkow. Services were held at Sharp Funeral Home in Swartz Creek. Interment was at Clover Hill Park Cemetery in Royal Oak. Dr. Steinberger was a mem- ber of the Founders Society of the DIA and enjoyed photogra- phy, painting and weaving. He was a member of the American Medical Association and Phi Lambda Kappa, a medical fra- ternity.
