Drew Gershenson will become a
bar mitzvah at Temple Emanu-
El on Saturday, April 26. Rab-
bi Bleefeld and Cantor Rose will
lead the services.
Drew is the son of Marcia Ger-
shenson and the late Steve Ger-
shenson. Drew's paternal
grandfather Sam Gershenson
and his maternal grandmother
Shirley Klein will participate in
the service.
Drew is an honor student at
Berkshire Middle School. He is
on the basketball team at Berk-
shire, and he also enjoys playing
baseball, cello, chess and is an
avid collector of sports memora-
bilia.
Drew's mitzvah projects in-
cluded working at various Or-
chards Children's Services
events with foster children,
working at a veterinary hospi-
tal, helping to build a house for_,
Habitat for Humanity, helping
at Gilda's Club and serving and
preparing meals at COTS and
Just Love Ministries.
