Addison Oaks County Park will
host its Spring Classic Mountain
Bike Race on May 18.
Race distances depend on age
group. Race divisions are age 4
and under, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12,
beginner men, beginner women,
Michigan pro, expert men, ex-
pert women, sport men, sport
women and tandem.
The course will be open for
practice May 12-16 after 2 p.m.;
10 a.m.-6 p.m. May 17; and 7-10
a.m. May 18.
Ages 12 and under are free.
Pre-registration by May 7 is $20
and includes a free water bottle.
Race-day registration is $25 and
closes 30 minutes before each
race.

Jodie Rosenberg, age 16, of West
Bloomfield, earned the first al-
ternate position for the nation-
al level 10 gymnastics team,
missing a spot on the team by
.025 points.
At a five-state regional meet
March 13 at Michigan State
University, Rosenberg placed
eighth in floor exercise (9.50),
10th on balance beam (9.425)
and finished with an all-around
score of 37.025.
