Molly Parker stars as a young necrophile in Kissed.
Gowdy, Kissed follows the plight
of Sandra Larson (Molly Parker)
as she pursues her affinity for all
things dead. The obsession be-
gins in her formative years, with
the young Sandra finding herself
playing mortician for deceased
rodentia and birds while the oth-
er girls are playing with dolls.
As a young woman, she re-
mains more fascinated with
death than life, forsaking her job
at a flower shop for employment
at the Wallis Funeral Home.
There, she becomes a macabre
Charlie to Mr. Wallis' ghastly
Willie Wonka, eagerly learning
the embalming business, inside
and out.
While the workday proves to
be rewarding, Sandra truly looks
forward to her after-hour frol-
ics with the corpses of recently
departed young men. Though
she views her pastime as private,
she reveals her attraction to a
young suitor named Matt, who
accepts her unconditionally and
manages to bed her almost im-
mediately.

As the credits rolled, I squint-
ed for information that would
suggest that Kissed was based
on a true story. Deep down, I
knew it was fictional, but I was
unwilling to fathom the mind
that would invent this most dis-
turbing tale of undying love.
In any event, if you can get
past the necrophilia, this is a
pretty nice movie.
