Gary Sallen and Eric Krause are the co-chair-
men for the 7th annual Hank Greenberg
Memorial Golf and Tennis Invitational, which
benefits the Hank Greenberg Oncology Fund
at Sinai Hospital. It will be held Monday, June
9, at Tam 0' Shanter Country Club in West
Bloomfield, sponsored by the Michigan Jew-
ish Sports Hall of Fame.
The Michigan Jewish Sports Hall of Fame
was founded in 1985 to honor Jewish sports
figures who have distinguished themselves in
the field of sports within the state of Michigan.
Its objectives are to foster Jewish identity
through athletics and to raise money for can-
cer research, youth activities, scholarships for college and summer camp
and sponsorship of the annual Fame Games at the Jewish Community
Center.
Workmen's CircleJArbeter Ring will host a commemoration of
the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at
the Workmen's Circle building.
The annual dinner of the Oakland Branch, American Civil

The Holocaust Memorial
Center will remem-
ber the six million
Jews who died in the
Holocaust and Israel's
victims of terrorism 1 p.m.
Sunday, May 4, during the com-
munity's annual Holocaust commem-
oration at the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center.
The ceremony will feature a proces-
sion of U.S. armed service units, rep-
resented by Team Selfridge Air Force
Base, which helped liberate the camps.
After welcoming addresses by Harry
Praw, president of Shaarit Haplaytah,
a candlelighting will be held. Candles
will be lit by Holocaust survivors and
children of Holocaust survivors.
Speakers will include Col. Ronald
W. Rubin, vice commander, 127 Fight-
er Wing, Selfridge Air National Guard
Base; Saul Waldman, president of the
Holocaust Memorial Center; Gustav
Berenholz, chairman of the HMC Ex-
ecutive Committee; Dr. Charles Silow,
president of CHALK Rene Lichlman,
Hidden Children of Michigan; Jerald
Kaufinan, vice president of the Jewish
Community Center; Allen Zemmol,
president of the Jewish Community
Council; Dr. Daniel Krichbaum, direc-
tor of the Greater Detroit Interfaith
Round Table of the National Confer-
ence; a representative from the Arch-
diocese of Detroit; and Rabbi Charles
H. Rosenzveig, founder of the Holocaust
Memorial Center.
The musical portions of the program
will be provided by Cantor Chaim Naj-
man of Congregation Shaarey Zedek
and Neil Eisenstein on the piano. Rita
Huppert Frumin will perform the
recitations. During the ceremony,
members of the B'nai B'rith Youth Di-
vision will read the names of children
who perished during the Holocaust.
Following the Memorial Academy, a
prayer service and an individual
yahrtzeit candlelighting ceremony will
be held at the eternal flame in the Holo-
caust Memorial Center.
