Arnold says the dinner will prob- ably be potluck, but he and his housemates will probably do a lot of the cooking. "I love Passover," said Mr. Arnold, who went home for seder his freshman year and to a friend's family last year. "Fm ex- cited to have a seder with my peers." He anticipates his seder will be more laid-back than the family ones to which he is accus- tomed. Another first-time host, Eric Tennen, a college junior from Mi- ami, said that although his off- campus house will not be strictly kosher for Passover, the potluck will be "a traditional Passover meal — what most of us have at home." He hoped the seder would enable his friends to "feel what we feel at home for Passover." His housemate Josh Sobol, a junior from Boston, said they ex- pect between 12-14 guests. "I'm kind of looking forward to having a seder on my own and dis- cussing the traditions among friends," said Mr. Sobol. "At Passover, it's always been what my dad or mom tells me. This time, it's up to us." For students who prefer a more traditional seder, Hillel will be coordinating a campus seder and is arranging for home hospi- tality with Jewish families in Ann Arbor.
