April Events

Families with school-age children
are invited to an array of events
at Congregation B'nai Moshe dur-
ing April.
There will be an informal, par-
ticipatory Shabbat service for
fourth-graders and their families
10:30-11:15 a.m. Saturday, April


12.
The synagogue will host its
"Spring Wing Fling" 11 a.m.-2
p.m. Sunday, April 13, to celebrate
the opening of its new building.
There will be music, arts and
crafts, entertainment, refresh-
ments, building tours, Judaica
sale, adult learning and a Hag-
gadah display.
B'nai Moshe students will con-
\—
/- duct a model seder 4 p.m. Mon-
day, April 14. B'nai Moshe will
offer another Tefillot Together ser-
vice for fifth-grade families 10:30
a.m. Saturday, April 19.
The final Tefillot Together pro-
gram of the month will be held
10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, for
sixth-graders and their families.

Men's Club
Plans Shabbat

Members of the Congregation
B'nai Moshe Men's Club will con-
duct services Saturday, April 12.
Participants will include Alex

(Torah service), Michael Weiss

(Haftorah), Leon Sears (Prayer
for the Country), Harty Schwartz
(Prayer for Israel), Men's Club
President Joel Shayne (remarks),
Simon Goldman (Ashrei), Len
Wanetik (Musaf), Barry Kauf-
man (Ein Keiloheinu), David
Freedman (Aleinu and Amar
Rabi Elazar), Kerry Greenhut
(Kiddush) and Rabbi Elliot
Pachter (Adon Olam).
Bimah honors also will be ex-
tended to Albert and Dorothy
Mazer, Jack Fine, Zoltan Rubin,
Harold Greenspan, Stuart Left,
Mark Lerman Sinkoff and Shel-
don Roth.
Services will begin at 9 a.m.
Following kiddush there will be a
pre-Passover study session for in-
terested adult learners in Room 4
of the synagogue's newly-com-
pleted education wing.

Kol Ami
Service, Seder

Temple Kol Ami Sisterhood will
host its annual Sisterhood Shab-
bat service Friday, April 18, pre-
ceded by dinner at 6 p.m. The
speaker for the evening will be
Barbara Shapira, president of
District 9/11, Women of Reform
Judaism. Members of the Tem-
ple Kol Ami Sisterhood board will
participate in the service. @Reg-

Temple Kol Ami's second seder
will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April

Shir Tikvah
Holds Seder

Congregation Shir Tikvah will
hold its congregational seder at
River Crest at the corner of Avon
and Livernois in Rochester Hills
Tuesday, April 22. The service,
led by Rabbi Arnie Sleutelberg,
will begin at 6:15 p.m. with din-
ner served at approximately 7:30
p.m. Prices are $27.50 for adults,
$17 for children 7-12, and $7 for
children ages 6 and under.
Anyone interested in attend-
ing may send a check made out
to Congregation Shir Tikvah,
P.O. Box 99, Troy, MI 48099-
0099. To contribute to MAZON,
the Jewish response to hunger,
add 3 percent to the cost of the
seder meal. For information, call
