HYMAN J. GOLDSTEIN,
85, of Farmington Hills, died

April 4. Mr. Goldstein was
born in Poland in 1912 and
came to the United States at
the age of 7. He was an im-
porter wholesaler and retailer
of bicycles with his main store,
Allied Cycle Company, on
Grand River near Oakman
Blvd. He was known as the
"Bicycle King," and known for
his kindness and generosity to
many charities. Hy was an
avid bowler and he stayed ac-
tive in Temple Israel's Singles
Extension group where he
loved the dances.
Mr. Goldstein is survived by
his daughter and son-in-law,
Sharon and Dr. Barry Lesnick
of Farmington Hills; brother
and sister-in-law, Marvin and
Elaine Goldstein of Farming-
ton Hills; sisters and brother-
in-law, Nettie Brenner of
Southfield, Bernice and Al We-
instein of Scottsdale, Ariz.;
grandchildren, Jodi and Mar-
la. Mr. Goldstein was the
beloved husband of the late
Adelle Goldstein.
Contributions may be made
to a charity of one's choice. Ser-
vices and interment were held
at Hebrew Memorial Park.

AHARON GUMER, 84, of

Oak Park, died April 7. Mr.
Gumer was a plumber.
He is survived by his sisters-
in-law and brother-in-law,
Ruth Sands, Dorothy Gold-
berg, Harry and Debbie Cas-
cade; nieces and nephews,
Irene Sands, Fred and Pat
Gotleb, Phyllis and Joe Bis-
manovsky, Sanford Cascade.
He was the beloved husband of
the late Ann Gumer.
Interment at Machpelah
Cemetery. Arrangements by
the Ira Kaufman Chapel.

GOLDIE HOSHKOVITZ, 90,

of Southfield, died April 7.
She is survived by her sons
and daughter-in-law, Jerold
and Marilyn Hoskow of Farm-
ington Hills, Sanford Hoskow;
grandchildren, Laura and An-
drew Goldberg, Jeffrey
Hoskow and fiancee Julie
Boykansky, Nikki, Michael,

Melissa, Kelly, Meggan, Emily,
Peter and Timothy; great-
granddaughter, Dana Gold-
berg. Mrs. Hoshkovitz was the
beloved wife of the late David
Hoshkovitz.

ALBERT KATZ, 86, of South-

field, died April 1.
He is survived by his wife,
Jean Katz; son and daughter-
in-law, Joel and Diana Katz of
West Bloomfield; daughter,
Sandra Schwartz of Rockville,
Md.; brother and sister-in-law,
David and Ilene Katz of Farm-
ington Hills; sister and broth-
er-in-law, Shirley and Shmuel
Horowitz of Brooklyn, N.Y.;
grandchildren, Edee Schwartz,
Marla Schwartz, Laurel and
Daniel Feldman, Steven
Schwartz, Marni Katz, Daniel
Katz, Jessica Katz; great-
grandchildren, Charlotte
Jones, Tzipora Feldman,
David Feldman, Ezra Feld-
man. Mr. Katz was the loving
brother of the late Benjamin
Katz.

SEYMOUR A. KYTE, 88, of
Southfield, died April 2.
Mr. Kyte retired as execu-
tive vice president of United
Brokerage Company and hon-
orary vice chairman. Affiliated
with Simons Michelson Com-
pany advertising agency, when
he first came to Detroit in
1928, Mr. Kyte entered the
food industry with City Foods
Company as a frozen food dis-
tributor in 1939. He formed
S.A. Kyte Associates as a food
broker in 1953, merging his
operations with United Bro-
kerage in 1960. He was award-
ed the Special Score Award in
1979 by the United States
Small Business Administra-
tion, volunteered with the Al-
