players tear up the
"ice" each week in
the JCC's in-line
hockey league.

here's no checking into the boards, be-
cause the walls are solid concrete block.
But that doesn't keep 70 youngsters
in the Sunday afternoon in-line hockey
league at the Jimmy Prentis Morris Jew-
ish Community Center from trying to
emulate all the fancy moves of Detroit
hockey heroes Steve Yzerman or Sergei
Federov.
Eight teams at the JPM JCC are di-
vided into two age groups: 7-10-year-olds
and 11-14-year-olds. The younger divi-
sion teams play at 2:30 or 3:30 p.m. Sun-
days in the JPM gymnasium with the
older teams following at 4:30 and 5:30.
The season will continue through the
end of April.
