Alan Burk stars at Eastern Michigan
University.

Spring productions are fill-
ing the stages at colleges and high
schools.
At Eastern Michigan Univer-
sity (EMU), 1990 Berkley High
grad Alan Burk takes the role of
Herr Schultz in Cabaret at The
Quirk Theatre. Performances run
April 11-13 and 17-19.
Among Burk's previous shows
are The Devil's Disciple, Lone Star
and The Sunshine Boys.

At Birmingham Groves High
School, Heather Kaye had a be-
witching ride in the production of
Into the Woods March 19-22.
Kaye, a senior, used football coach
Jim Macdougal's four-wheeled
electric cart to cackle around the
stage.
Kaye had wonderful support
from Steve Brookenthal as the
narrator/mysterious man, Lau-
ren Schefman as Cinderella and
Granny, Matt Schwartz as
Jack, the appropriately named
Audrey Baker as
the baker's wife,
Rana Bruton as Lu-
Jacquie
cinda,
Solomon as Little
Red Riding Hood and
Marla Beider as un-
derstudy.
Also, Jeff Krause
as Cinderella's father,
Stephanie Schiff as
Rapunzel's under-
study, Jon Dalin as
Cinderella's prince
and Ben Rocher as
understudy, Dan
Roth as the giant
and Beth Schwartz
