Builders for Peace encourages
private investment in the West
Bank and Gaza. The organization
includes both Jewish and Arab
Americans and has the wide-
spread support of Israel, the Pales-
tinians and the U.S. government.
In addition to his activities with
Builders for Peace, Dr. Nurn-
berger is an adjunct professor of
Ralph Nurnberger diplomatic history and interna-
tional relations at Georgetown
University in Washington, D.C. He previously spent eight
years with AIPAC, specializing in budget, arms sales, for-
eign aid to Israel and peace-related issues. He also has served
on the staff of the Foreign Relation Committee.
The American Jewish Committee Detroit Chapter will honor jurist
and community leader David K Page at a tribute dinner 6 p.m.
Wednesday, May 28, at the Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn. He will be
presented with the Learned Hand Award, created to honor the mem-
ory of Judge Learned Hand, a distinguished individual who was rec
' ed as a staunch advocate, both in his legal opinions and in his

public remarks, of the right of the individual and of the importance
of democra.tic values in an orderly society.
Mr. Page is a partner in the law firm of Honigman, Miller,
Schwartz and Cohn and a member of the State Bar of Michigan,
