Elyse Lerman

Elyse Joy Lerman of West
Bloomfield will observe her bat
mitzvah at the Birmingham
Temple on Saturday, March 29.
Rabbi Sherwin Wine will lead
the service.
Participating in the service
L will be Elyse's proud parents,
Cheryl and Stephen Lerman;
her grandmother Sylvia Ler-
man; her cousin Robin Katz; and
family friends, Janice and
Arthur Wilson and Sue and
David Chi.
Elyse is an honor student at
Abbott Middle School and at-
tends Hebrew school at the
Birmingham Temple. Elyse's in-
terests include individual and
/- precision figure skating, in which
she has competed nationally, art,
reading and singing.

Allison Birndorf

Allison Rose Birndorf will be-
come a bat mitzvah at Temple
Kol Ami on Saturday, March 29.
She is the daughter of Richard
and Terrie Birndorf, grand-
daughter of Marilynn Spoon,
Ardis and Harold Feldman, the
late Fred Birndorf and the late
Ted Fishman.
Allison is an honor student at
Highland Middle School. She
was the recipient of the Board of
Education Award, she plays clar-
inet in the school band and she
is on the yearbook staff and the
Science Olympiad Team.
Allison's mitzvah projects in-
clude delivering clothes to the
Fort Street Church and volun-
teering at the Highland Library.
